Bible references:
Luke 2:21-40 refers to the Presentation of Jesus at the temple when he was a baby and verse 40 states: “The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favour of God was upon him.”
Luke 2:41-52 refers to a second event in the childhood life of Jesus, when he was aged 12 and visited Jerusalem with Mary his mother and Joseph.
Reflection:
We don’t know very much about the childhood years of Jesus except that “The child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom; and the favour of God was upon him.” Joseph was a carpenter and I imagine that the child Jesus used to spend some time with him “helping” Joseph!
Prayer:
Holy Child Jesus, you are both God and Man. May you bless us all, always. Amen
